International congress on The liberal Triennium "two hundred years later. Understand the past, reflect the present"

The Congress was held in conference room Europe of the senate from 31 may to 2 june 2002 (calle Bailén Nº3, Madrid)

The Ministry of the presidency, relations with the courts and Democratic Heritage, through the secretariat of state of Democratic Heritage, has organized a series of activities to commemorate the Liberal Triennium (1820-1823), a historic period that was the return of the constitution of 1812 and still is a symbol of the fight of liberalism against absolutism situation in those years.

To commemorate this anniversary, the secretariat of state scheduled a International Congress entitled "liberal Triennium two hundred years later. Understand the past, reflect the present", which was held in the senate from 31 may to 2 june 2002, led by the professors Manuel Chust e Ignacio Fernández Sarasola of the University Jaume I in Castellón and of the university of Oviedo respectively. From this forum of study and debate is intended to recognize, evaluate and disseminate the principles embodied in an exemplary fashion so that women and men who contributed to lead this period of our history.
