Call 2022
As in 2021, in this first call for 2022 the allocation of funds to EELL have been implemented through a (non-competitive) call for subsidies managed in close cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation in base of its material scope, the digital modernization and transformation.
In this regard, the call for a total amount of 154,51 million euros, aimed at municipalities with a population of less than 50,000 inhabitants (except for municipalities that are provincial capitals), provincial councils ("diputaciones provinciales") of the common and foral regime, cabildos, island councils, and the autonomous communities with one single province (municipalities with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants are the recipients), as well as the cities of Ceuta and Melilla. In its design the criteria of local entities was taken into account, through the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and of the National Commission for Local Administration.
